One of my goals this year is to get some sense of Balance in my life. At the end of last year, I really spent time thinking about what I want to achieve in 2009, both professionally and personally. One of my biggest problems is that of achieving Balance between scrapbooking and relaxing and my family vs me time. You know .... the time that you take out for yourself .... whether it be for pampering, spirituality, or just grabbing that book and curling up on a nice comfy bed. Last year I did way too much scrapbooking and wrestled with the guilt of perhaps being a better mum on a number of occasions.
This year I intend to balance out all the different hats I wear and try to give every pursuit in my life equal time.
Anyhow, here is a layout that I have created for me. Yep ... you read right ... for me. Not for Aussie, or Kitschy or Mags or whatever, purely for me. And I absolutely loved it. I have to do more of it. No material or product restrictions or due dates for work. It was so freeing and I'm really happy with what I produced.
I used the Heather Bailey Papers, Rub Ons, Chipboard etc - I have been waiting for a chance to use it for nearly 5 months now ...... finally......The flowers have 6 layers one of which is tulle which I'm in love with.
Having so much fun experimenting with different looks with flowers and getting maximum **puff**!! from them. Here is a close up, the colours are so gorgeous, bright and funky.
Anyhow just a short post, I have heaps of scrapping to do, and just waiting to hear back from Tattered Angels when that Tute on the Tissue Paper Flowers is being posted.
I will let you all know.
Have a fantastic week - and if you live in SA, stay cool - and make like a polar bear !!
